In Bangladesh, a man decided to cut his wife fingers of her right hand with a machete because she was studying without his permission.
The husband returned from Dubai, ahead of schedule and his wife was studying at the home of his sister.
The woman said, ‘He said he wanted to surprise me and covered my eyes. I could feel he was angry but I did not dare to protest. Suddenly he told me to stop my studies’ and that’s when the fingers were amputated.
The victim was taken to a hospital three hours later, at the insistence of the family.
