Nineteen people were injured in head-on collision between a CTB bus and a lorry near the Railway grounds in Anuradhapura today morning, Police stated. The CTB bus had been heading for Anuradhapura when it collided with a lorry travelling on the opposite lane, Police spokesman Maxi Proctor said.

 Due to the initial accident another private bus and a motorcycle had also met with an accident at the same spot. The injured including the CTB bus driver, 16 passengers, the lorry driver and the motorcyclist have been admitted to the Anuradhapura hospital. Police are conducting further inquiries.
